Ball Python

The Ball Python is undoubtedly one of the most famous pet pythons in the world.

They are found in the grasslands of Western and Central Africa.  

Ball python enclosure

ball python will have reached full adult size in three years. so you will need a tank large enough for your pet to easily stretch out. An adult ball python will require at least 40-gallon tank for proper growth and care.

Suitable substrate

Newspaper, aspen shavings, orchid bark, and cypress mulch are all wonderful options.
If Aspen is used, it needs to be replaced every week to avoid getting too soggy or dirty. Avoid using bedding made of pine or cedar, since their oil content might cause skin irritation. skin of a python.

Snake Decor

One hiding container is needed for your ball python. 
Natural wood concealment logs are ideal. These hiding spots also allow your ball python to adjust its body temperature by stepping away from a direct basking location. 
Pythons enjoy climbing, so supplying them with climbing branches is an excellent enrichment. You can add plants and a backdrop to enhance the aesthetics of your habitat. 

Temperature And Humidity

Maintaining a proper thermal gradient is also crucial within the enclosure for the well-being of your snake.

It is recommended to create a hotspot area on one end of the snake cage that ranges from 88 to 96°F. The other end should have a cooler spot with a range of 78 to 80°F. Use a digital thermometer with a probe to monitor the indoor and outdoor temperature.

Humidity - Maintain 45 to 65% humidity; (72%) during shedding 

Lighting

Even though ball pythons are nocturnal, they benefit from daytime UV exposure.

UVA/UVB light has been shown to help lizards stay healthy and act normally. It also helps their immune systems work better. Don't leave a bright light on all the time; at night, use a nocturnal or infrared light instead.
